Mineral resource inventories & mining potential
At the request of private companies and international organisations, Bugeco experts carried out evaluations of mineral resources; and political and economic analysis in a mining investment context. It has been directly involved in drawing up mining legislation in a number of countries; and has reported on the economic infrastructure, and general and specific mining potential of African, Latin-American, Asian and Eastern-European countries. Among the African countries : Algeria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ivory coast, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Nigeria, Niger, Uganda, Central African Republic, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
In Western Africa, it has produced and in-depth review of the metallogeny of the Birimian (1996-1999) (Anglo American).
In Northern and Central Africa, in-depth review of base metals metallogeny (Anglo American).
Compilation of data for Kilo gold orebodies in the Democratic Republic of Congo (BHP).
Review of copper/cobalt potential in the Katanga province, Democratic Republic of Congo (Together with Holloway and Associates).
Valid as of end 2006, the Katanga copper belt (DRC), an inventory of orebodies and associated companies involved in their development (Haywood Securities).
