Gérard de La Vallée Poussin (Managing Director)
Gérard was employed by De Beers and Anglo American from 1962 to 1975,
mostly in West and Central Africa. After working as administration manager
for the Tenke Fungurume project for five years, he did the PMD course at
Harvard Business School before joining the Philipp Brothers Group in the US in 1976 with
responsibility for developing African markets in crude oil and refined
oil products acquisitions and sales, was appointed trader then
Director and General Manager of Phibro Energy Ltd in London
(subsequently a subsidiary of Salomon Inc) from 1982 to 1985. He was
Director then CEO of Kaines UK Ltd, a resources trading company from
1986 to 1989. Since 1989 he has been an independent consultant for the
resources sector in Africa. In 1988, he co-founded a film
production finance company of which he is an active shareholder.

Pierre Goossens (Dr.Sc.) (Director and Founder)
Pierre has more than 35 years experience worldwide in economic
geology, including exploration, ore reserve estimation, ore deposit
evaluation, mine legislation and fiscal regime appraisal. He has managed
BUGECO since its creation in 1981. During these last 20 years, he
conducted 100 consulting missions in 40 different countries. He has
extensive experience in the conduct of due diligence exercises on behalf
of mining companies and financial institutions. He is visiting professor
of Geology at the University of Liege in Belgium, and the author of
several books.

Roy Corrans (Geologist) - Director of Bugeco S.A. and CEO of
Bugeco's South African subsidiary, Bugeco South Africa (pty) Limited
Roy has more than 36 years experience in base and precious metals
exploration and evaluation across Africa gained with the major
international mining group, Anglo American. From 1987 to end 2001 while
with the former company he held the positions of General Manager
Exploration / Consulting Geologist and Senior Vice President:
Exploration. He is a registered Professional Natural Scientist with the
South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions.
James AH Campbell (Director)
James Campbell is the managing director of African Diamonds Plc, and a director of Bugeco. He worked for De Beers for over 20 years, culminating in being General Manager responsible for resource delivery in the global exploration and mining group. During his career with De Beers he has also led small-scale mine development as well as being involved in corporate management and being Nicky Oppenheimer's Personal Assistant. He holds a degree in Mining & Exploration Geology from the Royal School of Mines and an MBA with distinction from Durham University. James is a Fellow of the Institute of Mining, Metallurgy & Materials, Chartered Engineer (UK), Chartered Scientist (UK) and a Professional Natural Scientist (RSA).
